Hi i want to place live scores of cricket widget in blog . Is it ok as per wordpress.com rules ? or any copyright i just want to engage visitors and on my non hosted blog i’ve a widget on the left sidebar under live scores . Thanks in advance

So that they can reach to that highlights . My real site which is non hosted is Cricket and i want to provide links from this blog to it for the highlights and can i copy my own content from that site i’ve written it by myself on my blog

Should not be a Terms of Service issue here if you just want scores, however – most of the live score, live weather use code that is not allowed here for security reasons.

If the code is prohibited, sometimes the code can be converted to another format that will work

Ok @auxclass these are not allowed but there is text widget in the blog admin as in my self hosted blog and i used to post html in that text widget . So as per code this will also not work in this widget ? ….. And other thing that can i provide highlights video link here ? The highlights videos are present on my self hosted blog

Not everything that works on a self hosted WordPress.ORG install will work here – it is a security and performance issue – you don’t want my goof to crash your blog

I’m not going to post video here. i just want to know that i copy content from my self hosted blog and then for videos i want to provide link on this blog to my self hosted blog that if any one want to watch video they can visit my self hosted blog . Like this

Search engines don’t like duplicate content – both sites get downgraded – also you don’t want a mirror site here – that would be a terms of service issue
should not be an issue if you have a few links to videos on your other site – but you want to have good content here and not just a line with a link –
are you setting up a blog here to try and build readers since the SEO here is great?

If you copy content from another blog and mirror it here, you must set one of the blogs as Private or your blog here will be suspended.

Most likely not. Staff routinely suspend blogs here if they judge that they only exist to confer an SEO boost on a site hosted elsewhere.

You are reading the wrong info – search engines like larger older sites – starting a new site that sounds like it is close to a mirror of your REAL site with a bunch of links to your REAL site probably won’t do all that much – takes many weeks for a new site to be indexed
you would be better served by adding more good content to your existing site so it is larger with better content rather than trying to work around the Terms of Service here with shady SEO stuff

But my self hosted site is also not being ranked good by google that’s why i’m worried about this and want to do seo . I’m writing genuine content on it but still copiers won from me . I’m stuffed from all this
