Hi — can I embed a MixCloud player in my blog

  Hi — I use my blog (laughingbearcomedy.com) to promote a radio show I produce. I host the archives at MixCloud. MixCloud offers an option to embed a player — I tried to copy and insert the code and it didn’t work. Is this something I can do and I am just doing it wrong? The code they give me is pasted below — thanks for your help

  I’m sorry, but that embed code will not work because we do not allow certain tags on WordPress.com for security reasons, including JavaScript, Flash, iframe, form, and input tags. These restrictions are in place to prevent any disruptions in service due to potentially malicious code.

  Thanks — I suspected that. Are there any players you do allow? I can’t use SoundCloud because I am doing a broadcast radio show and use licensed materials. That limits me to services that pay royalties to artists (hence my use of MixCloud).

  I am not aware of any other options that use embeds without the blocked code. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t one out there. I just suspect that there is not.
