Hi. I have difficulties finding the ‘appearance ‘ button in order to change the theme.

  I have a different layout. I do not have the ‘Appearance ‘ button. On my left side of the screen I have: Comments, Feedback, Design, Customize not Comments, Appearance, Themes. I am on the free version at the moment. Thank you

  “Themes” is directly below “Customize”. Perhaps you’ve been looking at instructions that apply to the /wp-admin dashboard or even the .org software for sites not hosted here at WordPress.com?
