Hi I want to protect a pdf file with a subscription sign up link?

  Hi I want to add bonus chapters to one of my pages as pdf files. I have no trouble uploading but I want to protect them so that whoever want to read had to sign up to a newsletter subscription. I have a mail chimp link on the contacts page so I can do it through there but that will involved sending the file via email and I wanted them to be able to download/read from this site ideally??
  Is this possible??

  Hi!

  One option for setting this up would be to create a new page and set it as password protected:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/

  You would want to add a link to that PDF within the contents of the page.

  Then, you could include a link to that page and the password in the confirmation email subscribers get when they sign up to follow your blog. You can edit the text of that email here (under Blog Follow email text):

  https://deepalmerwriter.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  That way, when someone signs up to follow your site, they receive the information on accessing the PDF. Would that work?

  Hi Jeremeylduvall,

  thank you i will give it a try..I don’t want to make it complicated but I do want to start to build a client base and thought this was one approach.
