Hi. I went to the 'Contact Form' button and stupidly put my own details in!!

I managed to delete the contact form by pressing ‘Trash’. But each time I try and add a new contact form, my details appear again. Obviously, I do not want my personal email to be visible! Help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

If you entered your email in the “Settings” section of the form setup then that is a good thing. The email address you put there is the email address where the form will be sent after its submitted. It will not be visible to anyone.

Now, in the “Form Fields” section, you do not want to put your email address anywhere there because that will be visible. If you see it there just delete it and write something else like “Email” for example. Then click insert when you are finished setting up the form.

    Hope this helps! :)

    Cheers

I’m having the SAME problem. When I’m editing my page, it shows my contact form being blank. When I preview my page, it shows my information filled into it!!

Once you set up your contact form, you will see your information in the contact form if you are logged into your site because it auto-fills that information. Anyone with a WP acct who is logged in, will have their info auto-filled into the form. If you log out, you’ll see that the form is blank to other visitors.

Thank you from me too! Just a line from WordPress to say that will happen would have saved a lot of time and hassle! No wonder it wouldn’t delete!
    Very much appreciated.
