Hi Im confused about using my domain name

    So has wordpressed changed? I have 2 domains on hostgator and one on godaddy. I pay nothing to use my domains with hostgator and I want to connect my godaddy but its acting like I need to upgrade to wordpress pro to use the domain I already pay for somewhere else. Is this a new thing they added where now we have to pay to use a domain we already pay for off-site? How can I connect my domain from godaddy that I already own?

    Hi there!

    If you are using a free WordPress.com plan you will be able to continue using your .wordpress.com address.

    You are able to use your custom domain with a paid WordPress.com plan.

    Please note that DNS changes can affect your emails/website that are currently on the domain so it would be best to speak with your domain registrar (GoDaddy) to advise or support if you aren’t sure.

    I’m sure that even at Hostgator and GoDaddy you have to pay to have a site hosted there?? To connect or transfer a domain to a site at WordPress.com requires you purchase an annual Pro plan.
