    Hi there,

We don’t have a single IP address for your site since we have your site on a number of geographically-diverse servers to improve speed and uptime.

Since we change out the IPs we use based on when different datacenters/server go online, we don’t suggest using IP addresses.

Our suggested route is to map your domain (by adding it via the Store > My Domains page on your site’s dashboard), add the MX records currently on your site to our Store > My Domains > Edit DNS, and then change your nameservers to WordPress.com.

However, if you still want to go ahead and map your domain using A records, please be sure to create at least two, pointing to the two IPs from the list below.

thank you, another question, how do i pay wordpress.com for domain mapping.. can’t find it on myshopcart or my upgrades.

    Hi there,

I see that you were able to add the domain mapping for: hamilton.com.ph recently.

Do you still need help with this?

  • Unknown's avatar

thats’ al ms grace, hamilton works fine. and thank you.

if i am going to domain map my other 2 domain names, does that the time am i gonna pay fees for the next 2 domain mapping? and since they have different web contents, would it show up as different websites and different contents? although the primary would be the hamilton?

    thank you again

You only have one WordPress.com site connected to this account, and you have your existing domain hamilton.com.ph mapped to it.

If you have other domains that you would also like to point to the contents at http://mhonskii.wordpress.com/, you can do that. You would pay the domain mapping upgrade for each domain you mapped.

In that case, you would choose one of the domains to be the primary domain and no matter which of the domains visitors used, they would end up seeing the URL of the primary domain in their address bar.

If you have a different website with different content, that works differently.

If you are trying to map a domain to a website with different content, please send me the URL that currently points to that content and we can talk about how to get things set up the way you want.

yes i want the other 2 to be mapped. but we are still preparing the content of each websites. so if that is the case, what are the services we are going to pay WP for?

  • Unknown's avatar

So you have two more websites and you will have a different domain name mapped to each of them. Is that right?

f that is the case, what are the services we are going to pay WP for?

This depends on where you are hosting the sites. I don’t see any additional sites in your WordPress.com account. If you are hosting the sites elsewhere, and you are registering the domains with another registrar you won’t have any additional payments to WordPress.com.

If however you intend to build the sites on WordPress.com and map the domains to the new sites you would pay $13 to map each domain to it’s new site.

    Does that answer your question?

  • Unknown's avatar

yes i intend to build the site and map the domain on wordpress.com.

13$ each, ok that answered my question.

2 sites built on wordpress and each to be domain mapped.

    thank you
