    Why do my comments of non followers keep ending up in spam? The other question how can I refresh my blog? Thank you 😊

    Hi @jesusshowsus, can you clarify what you’re hoping for in a refresh? We’ll see if we can help.

    Also, regarding the comments that are ending up in spam, are you talking about the ones from users like “self cleaning litter box” and “small business loans” ?
    I’d recommend re-spamming them or you’ll attract more spammers.

    If you have a question about whether a comment is actually spam or not, one rule of thumb is to check to see if their name is a bunch of keywords and whether they’re trying to link to a spammy site. I also recommend only approving comments that are relevant to the article.

    See the Who Can Comment support page. While the settings at Manage → Settings → Discussion largely determine who can comment, and whether a comment needs to be approved by an administrator before being published, some comments are detected as spam by WordPress.com’s Akismet spam protection service. In my experience very few comments that aren’t spam are marked so. That is, there are very few false positives. Let us know if you’re finding legitimate comments being marked as spam.
