Hi my site was built with word press and i need to make some changes to it

I don’t have word press on my computer as such do I need to install word press to acces my website and when I put the username and password in the word press box it says does not exist how can I acces my site in admin role as the guy that built the site for me no longer does web sites and he gave me the passwords when he stopped making sites up

This is the support forum for free sites hosted at WordPress.com. If your site is perfectmatch.co.com that is hosted by inmotionhosting and is on their servers not WordPress.com servers. It may well be built with the WordPress.org software but that is just the software used and doesn’t connect it to the servers here so your password etc won’t work here but might do if you log in to your site directly at http://perfectmatch.co.com/wp-login.php

I have just tried to log into the site with the link and it still wont let me into the site I get emails from word press every time some one joins or registers on my site is there any other way I can get into my admin side I have also just emailed the guy that put the site together for me to tell him that the details he gave me to log in don’t work

This forum can’t help with sites using the WordPress.org software I’m afraid. The credentials you’re using to log in here at WordPress.com might well be different to the ones needed to reach your site. If someone else developed it for you then they really ought to help you further. The correct support forum for future assistance will be:
