Log in to your site and disable the Jetpack plugin. Mind you will loose all functionality this plugin offers.

Hi thanks for the response. The issue is i don’t have jetpack plugin on my site on wordpress.org. But instead i made a wordpress.com account and didn’t realize until now that it would connect to jetpack something i didn’t want for this site. Can you disconnect from your end on wordpress.com. because my site url is connected to jetpack and is cuasinf internal server issues. I have many sites the other sites don’t get the internal server issues and are not connected to jetpack. Those sites only loose connection with a bad plugin or the server really goes down.

@bosschino – if you removed the Jetpack plugin from your site it would have automatically disconnected it from your WordPress.com account.

I also notice that you’re using WooCommerce on that site. Certain WooCommerce extensions (like WooCommerce Payments) require that you have Jetpack installed and connected to a WordPress account.

You should contact WooCommerce support and have them advise about your site’s need to use the Jetpack plugin: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

Otherwise, you need to contact Jetpack support for help removing that connection.

    I hope that clarifies things!

Hi thanks, i actually have about 3 other sites with woocommerce and woocommerce payments and they do not have jetpack and are not connected to jetpack and those sites don’t get the internal server error. I believe something with jetpack and server connection causes the internal server error sometimes. I read many forums with other people having the same internal error. If i delete my account on here will it disconnect the jetpack. I manually added my site om wordpress.com not knowing it’s powered by jetpack. Meaning my site is still somehow connected to jetpack. Was really just looking for the button to unconnect my site completely. I read a article to do so but that was in 2015 and it was a simple disconnect your site from jetpack option that i don’t see anymore. So i guess il contact jetpack now?

  • Hi @bosschino, yeah: for this I would definitely recommend contacting Jetpack support. They’ll be able to take a more thorough look at the situation. These forums are primarily for the free sites hosted by WordPress.com, and while we have some knowledge of Jetpack, their support team will be your best bet.
