  Hello! I want to change my site name from X to Y. However I created a second profile with Y before realizing I can only have one site at a time for the free option. I don’t want to delete either username forever, which is the only option I am given. Can I have help from wordpress staff to fix this?

  Hello! So I posted too soon… I actually deleted the first one (the site name was: shalompoet), and now I just want to publish the second one – site name, navacation!
  I still only have the options to do the WordPress Starter or WordPress Pro.
  I would love advice on this slightly different situation! Thank you so much.
  TLDR: Old site- shalompoet.wordpress.com
  New site – navacation.wordpress.com

  Thanks for clarifying! Also, you can have more than one free WordPress site under your WordPress.com user account so let us know if you want us to recover the shalompoet.wordpress.com site since it’s within our 30 day window to recover it.

  Regarding navacation.wordpress.com, you should be able to launch it from your site’s dashboard. The only way you’d be prompted to upgrade to Starter or Pro is when you want to use a feature that’s only available on a paid plan (custom domain name, etc.). Looking at your account, I don’t show where you’ve selected any paid upgrades, so you should be good there.

  If you’re still having this problem, please take a screenshot of the upgrade prompt you get when trying to launch your site. If you’re not familiar with how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:

  Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here and we’ll take a closer look.

  Hi there, thank you for clarifying.

  I’ve reported this to our team, for now you can get around this by instead typing a domain name in the search box (you can type anything you want) and after a few seconds it will show you a list of options. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the option to skip the purchase and continue with the free site address you have now.

  This is difficult to explain in words, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to find this option.
