Hi! please help guide how to customize my homepage…

  I’ve picked a theme and customized the colors and the heading… now how do I update the rest of the content on the home page?
  By that, I mean the “welcome to my blog,” “here is my theme,” etc. language that is below the heading of my page. Do I have to use CSS for that, or is there an easier way that I’m just not seeing?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  First I want to help with your other question:

  The upgrade box says I’m in the free zone but I’m pretty sure I agreed to upgrade a few days ago. I’ve registered a domain name – doesn’t that indicate that I’m a premium member?

  Right now, you have two sites:

  • https://cccopywriting.wordpress.com/
  • http://cccopywriting.com/

  Your site at http://cccopywriting.com/ is the one with the WordPress.com Premium upgrade and domain. (Upgrades are per site, so only that site has the upgrade.)

  If you’d like to move the upgrade and domain over to your site at https://cccopywriting.wordpress.com/ I can do that for you, or you can transfer upgrades between sites from your My Upgrades page.

  It looks like you’ve started updating the content on your site at https://cccopywriting.wordpress.com/ . You can keep going by adding new posts and pages from your My Sites page to fill out the rest of the content on the site. (Once you publish a new post from the post editor, the default content you see in the site’s Customizer will be replaced by your own content.)

  That’s very helpful. thank you. I had figured out that I had two sites. That was my first confusion. I do want the upgrade on my cccopywriting.com site – so that is good. My only other question – which I may be able to solve now that I understand about the 2 sites is- when I pick a theme – will I be able to change the picture(s) that come with that theme?

  Sure thing! The exact steps to change the pictures depend on which pictures you’re trying to change. For example, many themes support a Custom Header Image in the site’s header and Featured Images that appear with your blog posts.

  You can also use the Custom Design tools in the Premium upgrade to make even more customizations to your theme’s design.
