Hi Theme help please?

  Unless this is like wordpress.org and doesn’t allow it. I’m hoping someone in the community has any experience with the WP Herald Lite theme? This is my favorite theme I’ve been waiting on for a couple of years now and finally found it. I have four blogs. The theme works GREAT on three of them. They are almost exact copies of each other. Same version of WP, same theme package, same server type/language/provider etc.

  There should be NO DIFFERENCE between them and yet on one of the blogs it’s all goofy. The left column is supposed to fill up with posts before moving to the second column “Latest News” as far as I understand it. It appears to do this on the other three. An example of on of my blogs that do work is:

  Once I noticed this issue at the tnci blog I re-installed WP and the theme. I’m able to get more posts in the left column but it’s not publishing them to the column in any specific order(should be by date posted). Instead it just inserts whatever it wants to and seems totally random. Desperately looking for help with this I don’t want to dump the theme. I’d almost rather not blog than to do that lol. Any help at all with this would be very much appreciated.

  The theme devs have told me there isn’t a limit reached for use of the theme and that it should insert posts into the column automatically.

  You are posting about sites that are not hosted by WordPress.com, so we will not be able to help you here. Support for self-hosted sites is at http://wordpress.org/support/

  WordPress.org and WordPress.com are two entirely different entities. You might want to read this for better understanding. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I will read it because clearly I need better understanding lol. I was hoping in a ‘community support forum’ someone in the ‘community’ out there who uses wordpress may have had some experience with this theme. I won’t look for help here or wordpress.org anymore because they don’t like my theme there either. I was hoping it was different here. I’ve reinstalled the theme into a newly created directory with a fresh WP install from my hosting control panel and the blog appears to work correctly. Why it wouldn’t in the previous directory is bizarre to say the least. It’s the same server, same version of WP, same theme, same everything, just a different directory.

  Thanks for the right direction at least. I almost had to scrub the whole idea because I couldn’t find help here, wordpress.org, or from the theme developer. I get a cookie for doing it alone. :):)
