    Hi there everyone! I have a few noob level questions I hope you can help me with, since I am getting conflicting information from different sources.

    I am looking to create a freelancer website using WordPress, and it has been recommended to me to add the Divi theme to it.

    It appears WordPress may work a little differently to the Wix website builder, which I have used in the past.

    Therefore, am I correct in thinking that:

    1) I could download the WordPress software, but then host it via another site such as SiteGround?

    2) Alternatively, I can build and host it via WordPress themselves?

    3) I can then add the Divi theme after that?

    4) I can then connect the subsequent website I create to a domain that I own already?

    Secondly, if hosting via WordPress there appears to be different options. (Personal, Premium, Business.) The premium option looks to be the best fit for me, but can I confirm that I can add the Divi theme to this, or would I have to invest in the Business package?

    Your best bet is to read https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and decide which would be most suitable to you.
    The Divi theme is designed for the WordPress.org software. It is not available here at WordPress.com even if you purchased the Premium plan but could be made to work by upgrading to the Business plan.

    Hi – Just noting that the Divi theme would be eligible for use on WordPress.com with the business plan option. Read over the link shared by themagicrobot to figure out which version of WordPress is going to suit your needs and go from there.
