Hi WordPress

  • Unknown's avatar

Thank you for having a wonderful site. I have a question though. I added about 6 or 7 pictures today and added them to certain pages, but I don’t know how to make them active. I mean, if you click of my pictures they expand so people can see the details. But these ones are adding differently somehow and I don’t know if I did it right, and can’t find a way to make them clickable. Any ideas?

Oh, It looks like this is going to the forums. How do I find it?

    Thanks,
    Ron

  • Hi Ron,

Could you share a link to the post or page where you added those non-clickable images? We’ll be happy to take a look.

In general, you’ll want to pay attention to the Link Settings when adding an image. Here’s more information about this: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/#link-settings.

Thanks, Fresatomica. Here’s one post. It’s the picture of the berries in the middle.

Never mind WP, I figured out how to do it. It used to do it automatically, but I guess that’s the old classic version. But I much prefer it.

    1. First I went back to my media library.
    2. I clicked on a picture I uploaded yesterday.
    3. I clicked the “Edit” button next to the “Add New” button.
    4. I scrolled down a bit and copied the URL information (strange that it was there, but didn’t do it automatically).
    5. I clicked on the same image on the page I uploaded it to.
    6. I Clicked the “Link” button.
    7. I pasted the link, then clicked the blue arrow (or clicked on the “settings” wheel, then pasted the URL there and Clicked “Update”.
    8. I hit “Update” at the top right of the page.

    And that was it.
