Hidden Counters–Where to post code?
-
I have just recently moved to blogging with WordPress. With my old blog, I had this hidden counter that I could not only see the # of visitors, but it displayed where they originated from and other such stats. The site is the following:
http://www.21freecounters.com/It says it is compatible with WordPress, but I just can’t figure out where to post the html code that it generates. Anyone have any tips on how to upload this widget?
I searched the forums some, but I did not find what I was looking for. If this is a repeat question–my apologies. Just direct me towards where I need to look. THANKS!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would paste it into a text widget. I’ve never messed with the code there but it doesn’t appear to have any forbidden code in it, so it may work.
If it doesn’t work, or if the code gets stripped out, then you can go to statcounter or sitemeter. They both have plain HTML code that works here. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/28/can-i-have-a-statcounter-on-my-blog/

Thanks for your help! I did not realize what “text widget” meant. It worked perfectly.

And I have to say you WordPress folks are great. I’ve gotten great, speedy help when I needed it. Can’t say the same for the old blog server I had. In nearly 3 years, I asked about 3 questions and never heard a word in response.

You’re very welcome, and yes, the wordpress.COM forum is the best around and the volunteers here have no equal.
