hidden images on blog posts no longer connect with Pinterest

  I need to know if this is a WordPress issue or a Pinterest issue? I use a hidden image code to hide extra images on my blog post. Then I use those images as links from Pinterest to my post. Now they aren’t connecting. I click on the image from Pinterest and it takes me to my home page of my website, not to my specific blog post. What do I do next?

  You just can’t use any code on a free wordpress.com website, https://wordpress.com/support/code/.
  Why aren’t you using the URL of the blogpost?
