Hidden Post – Post Cannot Be Removed
-
I’m having an issue with a pot or plugin that is stuck to my homepage. I’ve tried deleting what I thought was the initial post, updating what is on the homepage, and more, but this same post is still stuck.
I had to make a separate account just to post this as it is a business account (you’d think it’d be easier to get support for something I pay good money for but).
I could really use help figuring out how to remove it. I’m adding a screen shot of the post in question on our homepage. As you can see it’s a test post from April, so I’d love for it to not be taking front and center on our website. /Users/marypatterson/Desktop/Screen Shot 2019-09-11 at 8.06.13 AM.png -
Hi there,
Your post has been tagged for staff attention, please provide the site URL so they can have a look and assist you further.
Thanks!

I note you posted a previous thread that did include the address of your site:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/help-with-business-account/
Are you sure that the site you need help with is using the WordPress.com Business plan? I would have expected to see https in the address.

It is a WordPress site, it’s just a business page. The issue is the “Flowpaper Test Post” segment. I can’t find the original post anywhere to remove it.
I’ve tried removing it by going through Flowpaper, but that didn’t work either.I guess the most helpful thing would be help identifying how that feature might be hiding. It’s not a page or a real post – i’ve looked through both to no avail. Additionally, searching the title of the segment hasn’t pulled up anything.
I’m really at a loss, the person who originally added the post is not available to check from their own login.

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

I’m really just trying to see if there have been similar issues or any tips. It’s really difficult to find any support for either. I know it’s different, but to be frank, most of the commands are the same across the platforms. I’ve used both the .org and the .com and there isn’t that much of a difference when it comes to basic functionality. I’m not adept at wordpress, but neither is whoever on my team added the post that’s the issue anyway. I doubt they did anything fancy that would be all that different.
I’m really just at my wits end with this. It would honestly be less frustrating to have no answer at all than the continued “iTs A DiffeReNt PlAtform” one.

thank you! that is actually helpful, I will try to reach out to them.
Widgets were the first thing I checked as I thought it might be one of them, but from my side, everything looked normal.
