Hidden vs. Private page
-
What is actually the difference between a hidden page (page with a parent) and a private page?
Do you have to log in to see the private page? I’m not sure but I think I was able to see a private page without logging in.
My blog: http://lorawow.wordpress.comThanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Private – you do have to login to see it.
Anything else you do not.People will probably not share passwords to show friends a Private page.
It’s easy to show a public one though. -

I’m still a little confused. Here’s my blog http://fleajumpers.wordpress.com I made a “private” page to show the address of our next meeting. I’d like to be able to give the link for that page only to people who RSVP. However, I’m finding that the link doesn’t work for everyone. Do they need a password to see it? If so, do I assign the password for them?

A private post or page has no passport, and it’s invisible to everybody except you and other logged-in contributors to the blog. A password-protected post or page is a different thing: its title is visible, and the content can be accessed by anyone who types in the password.
