Hide a title from top links
-
Hi.
I’m trying to create a page but i’ve hit some minor obstacles.
1.
Let’s say I have 1page, 2page and 3 page and 1page set as my front page. Now what happens is on the top I get links to my top level pages and the built-in [Home]. So now I have:[Home->1page] [1page->1page] [2page->2page] [3page->3page]
(-> meaning linked to =)So I have the same link twice. I guess I could go and delete [Home] from my theme..
2.
Basically related, I guess fixing this one would fix the previous as well.
I have my header part of the page set so it shows the title of my site and the first page has the same title and it looks silly because I have the same text repeated twice, once in the header (on every page) and another time as a title.
I tried saving it without title and it works, but I’m not sure that is the rigt way to do it. I’ve added a property { display: none } in the css, but I don’t know how to tag just the title on the front page with it..I guess this is a rather common issue, so any tips here are really appreciated..
Tnx

Hard to help without a link to your blog. And please consider linking it to your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.

Thanks a lot.
Regarding the availability, it,s not public yet so there’s nothing to see so far =)

Well, then we volunteers in the forums have difficulty helping you as we don’t even know if you have a blog hosted here at wordpress.COM versus one hosted elsewhere. We get a lot of postings from wordpress.ORG users here and our advice is of little use to them since we use different software.
