hide all blog posts

Hello, I made my entire site private.
However, that’s not what I want. I want to keep several pages on my site public (my homepage, my work page, my contact me page).
But, I do not want any of my blog posts public anymore. How do I quickly change all of them (900+) to private? Bulk action edit only works for ~10-20 URLs at a time. I made the main blog post page private, but it was still visible. So were all my blog posts that live under that page.
thanks,
JoyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Joy –
My suggestion would be put your blog page behind a password. Then someone would need a password delivered from you to access those posts on that page.
This might be a better fit for what you’re trying to do.

Hi there, thank you for answering, but that didn’t work.
The blog page is now password protected, but the blog posts themselves are still visible. Example:

@joynmsu, that’s correct — individual links would still not be private.
I recommend making them private in bulk instead. Here’s how:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-editYou won’t be able to do all 900 at once, but you will be able to work through them in batches of 20-50. Higher than that and you might just get a timeout, but you can experiment with that number using “screen options” at the top of wp-admin.
This can be nice too, in that if you only want to make certain posts private (ones mentioning a person’s name for example) you can search first, then bulk-edit those posts to make them private.
I hope this helps!
