hide an excerpt in a single post
-
Hi,
Is it possible to do not show an excerpt in the single post? What I am trying to do is to have an excerpt on a main page and when click ‘read more’ the post should start with different text to the one in ‘excerpt’ at the main page. I do not want to scroll down I just want to make that excerpt invisible on the post page.
i.e.
text1
<!–more–>
text2And on main page you can see text1 but when click ‘read more’ the post contains only text2 (text1 is not shown in the post)

We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now. -

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_PageNo problem and best wishes with your site.
