Hide “child” pages in sidebar?
-
I am new here, so I apologize if this is a common question.
I plan on having many static pages along with my blog, so as to post some of my poetry. If possible, I would like to have a different page for each piece. The issue is that my sidebar is rapidly becoming frighteningly long with each new page. Is there some way that I can hide the “child” pages and show only the “parents”? Here’s what I mean:
Currently shows:
PAGES:
PARENT
-child
-child
-child
PARENT
-child
PARENT
-childI would like it to show:
PAGES:
PARENT
PARENT
PARENT
… with links to the “child” pages on each individual “parent” page. Is this possible? Thanks in advance to any who can help.

Hi mleeph
tried looking up ur blog, but was not able to (since it is protected)
I think the above would be related to the theme ur using. U could choose a theme that displays only the parent page (some do it in the side bar and some do it in the top !)
and u can hard code the links to sub pages in the specific parent pages.
I do some think similar @ my blog, take a look here if ur interested.HTH
edited : to update the link to point to the specific page that has the links to sub pages on top

My sidebar was also dragging down the side. So I picked a template with two sidebars:
Andreas09 by Andreas Viklund and Ainslie Johnson
A three-column theme with customizable colors and sidebars on the left and right.
