  Can I hide the right-hand column containing “Recent Posts”, “Archives”, “Categories”, etc.?

  The theme your using on your blog doesn’t support removing the sidebar, but some of our other themes offer a one-column layout.

  If you just want to hide to specific widgets, you can do that under Appearance > Widgets.

  You may want to check out the Custom Design Upgrade. This allows you to customize your theme, change layout and colors, hide unwanted elements, and more. However, this does require at least some basic experience with CSS and HTML.

  I am so new to this that I don’t even know what a “theme” is or what “widgets” are! If I change the theme to one that allows me to remove the sidebar, will I lose the info currently in my blog?
