  I don’t want those cookie banner showing up on the bottom of my site, how do I get rid of them? Are all WordPress.com plans have this banner? Can I have it show up somewhere other than in a banner? That banner is annoying

  If you have a free plan then no, you can’t get rid of it (although it does go away after one click and shouldn’t display again to the same user for 30 days!). If you upgrade to a paid plan (and you aren’t based in, or receiving visitors from, the EU) then you can remove it (and the adverts that free sites display too).

  Hi there,

  We display that banner on all free sites to get consent for advertising cookies for the ads we display on all free sites.

  If you have an upgraded plan we will not display any ads on your site, and thus won’t display the banner either.
