Hide featured image from posts without having a Premium Plan or changing the theme

Hey, I’m currently using the Hever theme. I can neither have new plugins, nor edit the CSS because I don’t have a Premium Plan. Please help and let me know if I can still HIDE the featured image from THE POSTS PAGE (and NOT REMOVE it)
Also, the image is VERY large. Is there any way to decrease its size without changing the theme.

If there’s no other option than choosing a new theme, can I change it for just some pages. I want to preserve the theme of my homepage and not mess it up.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi there!

I’m afraid this is not possible with Hever without custom CSS.

You also can’t hange the theme just for some pages, this is a global change for the whole site. Your homepage layout wouldn’t change when changing the theme though. Some colors, fonts and details may change but not the layout.

    Hi, thanks for replying!
I changed the theme once. But everything got erased from the homepage when I did. Is there any way to avoid any content deletion on a static homepage?

  • It all depends on your settings – the newer themes, like Hever, have their homepages built directly in the Block Editor so, even if the new theme replaces the homepage, you can go to My Site>Design>Customize>Homepage Settings and change it back.

In the older themes, to get the demo look, you had to play with the settings, which then could change when activating a new theme.
    This won’t happen anymore.

Thanks a lot! The ‘Try & Customise’ option helped me choose the best theme possible for my page.
