Hide Features

  I Would like to hide some of the features such as “search wordpress”, tag tracker, etc. My blog is designed as a school to home communication tool with lot’s of learning support. I would like to minimize distractions. Can some of the above be hidden from users with contributor status?

  If you’re QUITE good with CSS and have the purchased CSS upgrade, I believe that’s possible. Otherwise the admin bar shows to everyone signed in to WordPress.com. You can certainly clear widgets from your sidebar, though, to minimize distractions.
