Hide my blog/ site from any search engines like google/bing/yahoo search

  Hi,

  I don’t want my blog to be visible in any of the google searches or other when searched through search engines. I tried to do this from google side…. google its asking to validate my property but wordpress is not letting me to verify by changing DNS names. I even tried to do it by HTML uploads but wordpress is not accepting any. alternatively i also tried doing with HTML tags but the verification is getting failed.

  Please help me regarding this.

  Here at WordPress.com you can validate your property to Google using The tool at wp-admin > Tools > Available Tools

  Regarding your site visibility,

  The “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” setting on
  Settings -> Reading will ask well-behaved search engines not to index
  your web site in future. It may or may not affect content that has

  What do you mean? Sorry, I couldn’t understand… Where exactly are you seeing the blog name, and, since your site is now private, I cannot see it anymore to check…

  in my above query that i posted i don’t want my blog name to be appeared at the end. Could you help me with that… i read that within 35 mins we can edit it.. but i didnt find option to edit it.

  I don’t believe you can edit that… my recommendation is that if you don’t want your blog to be public, don’t write it anywhere, for instance this forum IS indexed by google, and it will try to follow that link…

  You can try to contact WordPress.com staff, via https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact and ask if they can erase that topic for you.

  if you see in this post it is written that you can edit content before 35 mins after that only moderators can do…

  what i actually wanted was if i’m posting some new query my blog name is appearing at end like “Please help me regarding this. The blog I need help with is myblog.com”

  i want that to be removed from this public forum.
