Hide my sidebar
-
Hi everyone,
I would like to hide the sidebar (to get rid of the search box) on my theme “Stay”, so that the main content is centered on the page.
I am new with the blog and a man of the chat support wrote I can do that with entering a code in the css!?
Does anybody has that code for me please?
Or what do I have to do?
Dont forget, I am a greenhorn ;-)Thanks in advance for your help!
Phil

Hi Phil,
I’m stealing from another topic to answer your question. Give this a try and adjust the width as you see fit.
#secondary { display: none; } #content { width: 1200px; }reference: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/need-help-with-css-to-remove-sidebar?replies=7#post-2268537

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately it doesnt exactly do what I want.
With your code the width of the content sidebar is getting wider towards the right.
So the gab of the first sidebar where the search box is stays and the page is not symmetrical.Maybe you know another code?
Greets,
Phil

Solved it.
Pretty easy and without CSS.
You just change the template of a site to a full width page ;-)
