Hide nested pages and drop down menus
-
Hi all,
I would like some advice on how to hide nested pages and drop down menus. I initially created a parent page for recipes, followed by nested pages for each individual recipe.
Having recently updated my blog theme, (it looks a little messy and confusing.) Is there any way that I can hide all those pages? Or do I need to delete each individual one?
Thanks in advance,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Using Custom Menus, you can construct your menus however you wish. Check our the support page ( http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ ).
Using those, you can link to individual pages, categories or tags, as well as “custom” links (to any site anywhere).
If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please let me know! Thanks for using WordPress.com.

Hi @kraftbj,
Thanks for your reply. The difficulty I’m having, is with the previous pages I created, (all show up in the new theme) and I’d actually prefer to hide both the parent page and the nested pages within.
I tried to move it to private, but all the nested pages still appear in the menu.
Does this mean I need to delete each page and link back to my original post?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I’d like to make sure we’re on the same page. You’re referring to the navigation menu at the top of your site (see this screenshot: http://kraftsandbox.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/screen-shot-2013-08-16-at-10-04-58-am.png ).
If so, if you create a new custom menu in the Appearance->Menus section of the Dashboard (support: Custom Menus), you can customize your navigation menu (instead of the automatically generated one that appears).
If we’re talking about different things, my apologies! Is there a different menu you’re referring to?
Thanks for using WordPress.com!
