Hide nested pages, can’t find Page ID
-
Hi — I want to “hide” some nested pages from the Pages Sidebar, and I understand that to do this you use the Pages Widget — all well and good. However, when the tutorial tells me to find the Page ID in the Pages section of the dashboard or the page you want to hide, it’s not showing up. And it’s not in the URL of each page. I seem to recall that it used to be there, and now it’s not. What’s going on?
My site url is: http://aftaccountabilitywatch.wordpress.com
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, as I mentioned I read that page and watched the tutorial. But my pages do not have a “Page ID” in their URL. So how can I “exclude” pages without a Page ID?

The page you read says:
“To find the Page ID, go to Pages->Edit and hover over the title of the page. The status bar of your browser will display a URL with a numeric ID at the end. This is the page ID.”
Perhaps you’re confusing status bar with address bar. Status bar should be at the bottom of your browser.

also, what would be really great is if you click a parent page, then the hidden nested pages would just jump out on the side nav bar…but i guess that is too advanced for this software, yes?

Actually, in some themes it does that, sort of, see this site, maintained by your future husband:

Thanks husdal. I see what you mean; but I don’t really like those themes and it would take too much work at this point to tinker.
When am I getting married? ;-)
