Hide Page Title
-
Is there any way to hide the page title on the page itself, without removing it’s link from the navigation menu? Thanks.
Theme: Penscratch
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I used to sometimes use a dot for a title, or an asterisk. But I’m not sure I understand what it is you’re trying to do.

Okay, so when you ‘Add New Page’, you give it a title, which is appears above the pages content body, and also gives it a link in the navigation menu.
I want it to appear only in the menu, not above the content of that page.
If I edit a current page and remove all text from the ‘Title’ field, the menu item text changes to #1 (No title). Which is obviously not wanted…
I understand if it’s a limitation of wordpress.com, I’d just like to know if I’m missing something somewhere…

I think you need to edit CSS in order to accomplish what you describe.
Here’s a previous forum thread which might help: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/removing-title?replies=4.You’ve reminded me that when I used to leave a post title blank it would eventually change to a numbered post. I hated that. And post number 1 might be your 483rd post. That’s why I came up with the dots and dashes idea, which of course is hardly a satisfactory solution.
I’ve just begun to look into the Inspectors that Firefox and Chrome have. Haven’t tried to use them. Hopefully, somebody with more knowledge in this realm will address your issue before long.

I did not think we had access to the HTML/CSS while using a managed wordpress.com site.
Where can I access these files?

As far as I know, you’re correct. We don’t have access to that on free WordPress.com sites. I’m afraid I’m out of my element in this area. Here are some Custom Design links which might help:
