Hide pages?

Hi, I just looked through the other forum results, but they didn’t answer my complete question.
I’m looking to change my theme, and I’d like to know if it’s possible to hide particular pages on all themes? I’m currently using Neat! where it’s possible to hide pages, and when I preview themes like Benevolence, the pages are still hidden. However, when I preview Sapphire and Supposedly Clean, the pages become unhidden. Is this because you can’t hide pages on these themes?
Also, is it possible to hide pages on the top navigation bar? I have a lot of pages, and it makes themes with the page navigation at the top really ugly.
    Thanks.

http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/04/12/what-is-the-post-status/ according to this, having private Pages/Posts is independent of theme.

Just remember that as long as you are logged in, you will see those private Pages/Posts.

As far as hiding Pages on the navbar, is it possible to turn any of those Pages into Child Pages?

I have too many pages at the top of my blog

I wasn’t looking to hide them altogether; I have a page that links to a lot of other pages that I don’t want to show up on the navigation.
I just tried turning the pages into child pages and it seems to have worked. Thank you!
I’d still like to know about the Sapphire / Supposedly Clean themes though. :)

    You’re welcome.

As far as the theme thing, set up a test blog. :) Remember that you have to be logged out to check (though the FAQ says above seems to say you won’t see the Private pages).

    Hi,

I want to hide the entire blog for a while, since I am thinking about a complete career change. Is it possible to hide in stead of delete it?
