Hide Post/Category from home page

  I have posted about this topic and searched for at least 12 hours over the last 3 days trying to find a workaround with no luck! Overall, I have created a page for specific blog posts/categories; however, I cannot find a way to hide those same posts/categories from the original blog homepage. Seems it would be an instant fix if I were with wordpress.org, but being with wordpress.com there seems to be no way to hide an entire category from my homepage.

  I am nearly done with my website, but cannot publicly publish/promote it because there seems to be no fix in sight for this problem. I’m at a stand still and any help would greatly be appreciated!

  Can there please be a Hide-A-Post plugin made available for wordpress.com accounts too?

  I forgot to add that the plugin that I am referring to is the WP Hide Post Plugin and is available from: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-hide-post/screenshots/
