hide second home page
-
I’ve created a static home page for my blog as per the support/help instructions, and tried to “hide” the default home page as now there are two pages labeled home.
The trouble is, the instructions for hiding the second home page do not work for me: “If the theme you’re using doesn’t display child pages in the pages menu, you can hide the second link by editing the page and setting another page as the Parent in the Attributes module.” (http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/hide-pages/). However, when using the drop down menu to select a parent page I am only able to choose from new pages I’ve made, not the default “home” page set by the theme. I am using the tarski theme.
Am I misunderstanding the instructions for how to hide the default home page after I’ve made a duplicate static home page?
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In other words, yes, you’re misunderstanding the instructions, yes, choose from new pages you’ve made.

I am having the same issue about how to hide the second ‘home’ option in the navigation bar on the tarski theme. Did you resolve this? I did not understand the instructions on fixing this via the Attributes module. Would appreciate any clarification. Have been trying ‘trial-and-error’ experimenting, but no luck. Thanks.
