Hide tagline vigilance
-
Hi,
For my blog http://santafepanama.info/ I am using the vigilance theme, which displays a tagline. Is there any way I can hide the tag line in this theme?
Thanks in advance
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Removing the tag-line would have a negative effect on search engines, that are already hardly crawling my blog (in spite of all the google webmaster tricks I performed)

I agree with santafepanama that having an effective tagline to convey the blog’s branding is a very wise SEO move.

This is the code to use if you do buy the CSS editing upgrade, although I have to say I quite like the way your site looks as it is.
#description {display:none;} -
Hidden text is, however, not rated as important as displayed text by search engines. They can tell the difference.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I must say I´m very happy with my site. The tagline is just a minor impurity that started to bug me, but not enough to buy the CSS package especially after what raincoaster tells me. So I´ll leave it as is.

I haven’t looked at the CSS, but the other thing that could be done is to move it up above everything out of sight. It would still be there, not hidden, just not within the site display area.
The other thing that can be done is to change the color to match the surrounding background (white).
