hide tags in blogposts

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to find out where and how i can hide the tags we make in our blogposts.
I’ve managed to find out how to hide them on our blog homepage, but when you open the separate blogs, the tags still show at the bottom of the post. W’ use the twenty eleven theme and have bought the custom design package already.
We’re very thankful for any helpful comment

thank you timethief, but i did that already. That code hides the tags on the homepage from our blog, but not the tags that show when you open a post.
Or do i have to give in the same code somewhere else maybe? -
