hiding an old blog name from google ( without deleting the blog)

I started my blog initially as ideas4secondarymaths.wordpress.com. I don’t want to use this anymore, but thought I might keep the name just in case,
but even though I have hidden the blog and published the pages privately. It still appears first when I do a google search. on ideas4maths…

Is there anyway I can keep the name but stop it coming up in a google search???
Or will this just happen naturally as time passes and my proper blog is used?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs or blog content or making blogs private do not remove what’s already been indexed from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it has been deleted and produces a 404 (page not found) we can use https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

Over time the more you publish on ideas4maths.wordpress.com will gradually result in that indexed content appearing above ideas4secondarymaths.wordpress.com in the SERPS.
