Hiding Archived Posts from Appearing on Home Page
-
Hi team,
I’m wondering if there is anyway I can hide posts that I’ve categorized as Archived (super old posts) from appearing on the home page. I want the posts on the home page to be only those of a particular category or the newer posts that I write. Is there any way you can help with that?
Thanks!

Hi there,
There are two ways you can go about this.
Your best bet would be to limit the number of posts being displayed in your homepage thereby showing only your most recent ones.
The number of posts displayed on the blog page is determined by the “Blog pages show at most” setting at Reading Settings.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/Also ensure that the infinite scroll is disabled for the above mentioned to work.

If you are keen on excluding posts of a particular category in your homepage you can useDisplay Posts Shortcode. But
the layout and formatting is not going to be what you see now on your home page.

You would put the code into a page and then set that page as your static Front Page.

Thank you.
