Hiding Content

  Is there any way I can temporarily HIDE the content? How can I remove it without deleting it forever? I just need time to work on it and would rather NOT have it online while I’m doing so. I know that if I delete it, it’s removed forever. But I just need to take it off-line until I get it all into better shape. Thanks for any advice. Kathleen Tarr

  Hi There,

  Have you considered using the ‘Drafts’ Option?

  When you finish your New Post or New page, there is an option on the right, next to ‘Publish’ to Simply ‘Save Draft’

  You can also click on ‘Edit’ next to Visibility and choose ‘Private’ as well.

  If you want your entire site to be temporarily unavailable you can set the entire site to private. You do this under Settings ->Reading. When you’re ready to go live again you can then just set it back to public. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
