Hiding Dates on Posts
-
I’d like to hide the dates on my post page. It says the date of the post above the title, and I don’t want that. I don’t know if hiding the date is an option, but I certainly want to find out if it is. The site I need help with is jacklmarketing.wordpress.com. Thank you in advance for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You require an annually renewable Premium or Business upgrade to do that.
We wordpress.com bloggers do not have access to the template files underlying our themes on wordpress.COM hosted blogs and cannot edit them. This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme use the same underlying template found on the live demo site for each theme.
Does Customize let me edit HTML?
No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications. You can read more about why here http://support.wordpress.com/code/, and find a suitable host here http://get.wp.com/hosting/.

Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

As the marketing word appears in your URL I want you to read what I post below.
There is no secure payments system here at wordpress.COM and you cannot add a shopping cart to sites hosted by wordpress.COM.
E-commerce plugin options have been removed here at WordPress.COM. Secure payment systems are not available here at wordpress.COM. You need a wordpress.ORG install. Please read this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/e-commerce-22?replies=17#post-2575955
Provided you are selling only what you yourself make or a service that you personally provide on a wordpress.COM site you have two options.
(1) PayPal – Know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
Note that the PayPal email link is not supported and PayPal customization options are not supported either https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/paypal-button-41?replies=12#post-2517229 This is not likely to be changed any time soon, if at all.(2) If you set up an eCommerce site somewhere else online you can create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ and include a custom link to that site in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Some bloggers create a contact form https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a page and after the people have made a PayPal donation they provide the link to a private page for downloading files. Maybe that will work for you.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/If what I provided above at (1) and (2) do not suit you, then this guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site where you can set up a secure payment system https://move.wordpress.com/
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

@jackl100 – You’re in luck. The theme you are using, Cubic, is listed as one of the themes that currently supports “Content Options”.
You can read more about that in the announcement here: https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2016/08/30/introducing-content-options-an-easy-new-way-to-make-visual-changes-to-your-site/

I don’t want to be a pain, but do you know if I can make the posts that are formatted as links open in another tab when you click on them?
-
You are welcome.
I see that you’ve got those links, which are essentially links to posts, opening directly to other websites, I don’t believe it’s possible to open those links in a new tab or window. Regardless, I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

Hi there,
You have your posts set to the link post format, which opens the first link that appears in the post when you click the post title. You can force the links inside the posts to open in a new tab, but that won’t affect the post title links. There is no way to force those to open in a new tab.
