Hiding features images in Posts in Sketch Theme
-
Hello – does anyone know how to hide the featured image from displaying in the actual blog in the Sketch theme? I managed to do it last week, see here as an example: https://fayebartle432761172.wordpress.com/2020/04/30/example-post-2/
But cannot remember how I did it and the featured image is appearing again in the body of the post. See here: https://fayebartle432761172.wordpress.com/category/magazines/
Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I can’t view any of the pages linked to above because the site evidently hasn’t been launched, and I’m a volunteer.
Hiding featured images on the Sketch blog page requires CSS customization. See the code suggested by @garysixtyeight in the topic Sketch Theme: Hide Thumbnail from Blog Posts Only.
However, since featured images can’t be displayed on single posts on Sketch, and you want them hidden on the blog page, the easiest solution would be to not set any featured images, or remove featured images from posts on which they are already set. See the Removing a Featured Image section of the Featured Images support page.

If you want featured images set on posts to be hidden on the blog page, yet to displayed elsewhere (archives pages, category pages, featured content slider, etc.), then I believe the only option is CSS customization. I’ll call for staff attention in case I’ve missed something.

Thanks for the feedback – have made it live now. Actually, I think the issue is being able to control the way Posts are displayed on category pages – I thought they’d come through differently: https://fayebartle432761172.wordpress.com/category/magazines/
Is there a way to make posts tagged to a category display the same way they do on the Blog page? Thanks

Hi there,
@musicdoc1 is correct. For the Sketch theme, the only way to remove featured images on posts is via the CSS feature that is included in the Premium and Business Plans. If you decide to purchase one of those plans, let us know and we’ll be happy to provide assistance with the CSS if needed.
Thanks!
