Hiding "Follow Count"
-
How to take the “Follow Count” off whenever someone follows your blog? I am using the user friendly gray “Follow” button that appears in the lower right hand corner of my blog. Once someone enters their email address, I do not want them to be able to see the number of followers I have. How do I keep the gray “Follow” button while taking off the number of followers visible to the public?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can do that with the Follow Widget:

But I do not believe that it is possible with the little black/grey follow button that shows for logged out users (which is what you are using now).

I tried to apply the “Follow Widget” yesterday, but I am just wanting a widget where people just need to type in their email address (without showing the number of followers I already have). Many people get confused because the “Follow Widget” is directed to WordPress Users.

Log out of your WordPress.com account and then view the follow widget. It presents differently for logged out users.
