Hiding links….

    Hiya

Can anyone tell me how to hide my links….in other words have the word ‘Links’ there on my page but nothing else, but when you click on link….it opens up to reveal all my links and the previews are still there when you hover your mouse over them?

I have checked the links section, but not sure which one is for me…(

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh right :( Thanks TT, thats a shame as it takes a lot of space up as it is….can you lead me in the right direction to finding out, when writing an article or whatever and you have a link, to actually instead of having the clink have ‘click here’ and then it takes you to the page you want it too?

Well what you just typed above as an answer to me makes it clear that I did not understand your question. I thought you were referring to Links as in Blogroll and that you were looking for a dropdown menu in the Links Widget, which we do not have.

Apparently you are referring to links in posts. Here are the instructions > http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

Here are two more examples of ways I can link to that same support document. The best choices for “anchor text” are those that clearly state what the documents you are linking to contains. “click here” is THE worst choice you can make.

Read this definition of what “anchor text” is. Anchor text: The clickable text part of a hyperlink. The text usually gives visitors or search engines important information on what the page being linked to is about.

So Sorry if I didnt make it clear – I will look at what you have written and the links you have given here….but my first question was actually when you have links on your ‘blog’ I would PREFER the links name to be there BUT then to HAVE to CLICK on the word LINK and then the links you have done THEN to be visible, NOT to be visible all the time.

Does that make sense now lol, you will have to excuse me as I am unwell at the moment.

As she said, that’s not possible at WordPress.com.
