Hiding site title and description in Arcade theme
-
Hi,
I am using Arcade theme, and I would like to hide the site title and description, but I cannot locate the box that will allow me to uncheck ‘Display header text’.
I have added the following to the CSS #site-title, #site-description { display: none} but now the header image does not redirect to the homepage.
Could someone please let me know what I need to do to get this to work?
Thanks.

Hello there,
Please use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need. -
but I cannot locate the box that will allow me to uncheck ‘Display header text’.
Did you look here? Dashboard > Appearance > Header ?
If you remove your site title from the top line here > Settings > General then you may have trouble getting your content indexed. That’s exactly where search spiders expect to find it.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I have added this post in the CSS Customisation forum as suggested.
I’ve looked under Dashboard > Appearance > Header, but the box does not appear for Arcade theme, as it does for Autofocus which I have another blog on. Please see the image at the bottom of this page here
Ideally I would like to keep the title and description hidden so that the site can be indexed. At the moment I believe they are there, but not visible due to the CSS customisation I’ve used, however the header cannot be clicked on to re-direct visitors to the homepage.
Thank you for your help.
