Hiding site while working on it

How do I disable my domain while I work on it! I don’t want people to see it now

You have two options:
1) Create a static page that explains your site is in progress, and select that as the landing page of the site. When you make other posts and pages, set them to Draft or Private. Then when you’re ready to go live, just use the bulk editor and do it all at once. This will preserve your SEO and google ranking and give you a bit of a head start.
2) Go to Settings->Reading and set it to Private. The problem with this is that it’ll take weeks, possibly a couple of months, for search engines to index the site once it goes Public. Not worth it, to my mind.

Have you gone through http://learn.wordpress.com yet? Instead of creating a Post, just do a Page instead. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
