Hiding specific posts from home page?

  Is there any way to hide specific posts from the home page? I have a featured image slider on my site and I’d like to populate the slider with images put hide the posts with them from showing up on the home page.

  Generally we can do this by targeting categories to keep them from appearing on the main blog page. I would suggest setting a category for the posts that you do not want to show on the main page and then don’t use that category for any other posts. Perhaps something like “slider” as a category name.
