hiding subpages in nav (in Hemingway)
-
i’m guessing the answer is “can’t do it,” but wanted to see if anyone knows a way to create subpages that aren’t listed in the nav in the Hemingway theme. e.g. on http://kristinwoodward.com/ecrm-etc/ i want the Burt’s Bees text to link to a page with an image gallery, but don’t want that page name to be displayed under eCRM/etc in the nav. (right now i’ve created the page but have it marked private–which obviously doesn’t work.)
or if anyone can think of another way to achieve this same thing . . . i’m just trying to keep the main pages clean without weird groups of images floating around, then have self-contained galleries that link off from there (similar to this page http://kristinwoodward.com/print-editorial/, which didn’t need a parent since there’s only one associated gallery).
make any sense? any help is much appreciated!! thanks :)

This is only possible by hosting the site on your own server and customizing the php to accommodate your request. That said you can achieve the effect that you are looking for by taking the “Pages” section out of your Bottombar™ and placing your navigation inside of your Blogroll. This has an upside and a downside. The upside is that you can have a variety of link categories displayed as opposed to “Pages” [i.e. you can have a category entitled “Navigation” which is æsthetically more pleasing]. The downside is that there is no way to impose link hierarchy in your Blogroll and so you will either have to individual links of equal value OR create individual link categories that will simulate a single level of hierarchy. Also, your Blogroll is organized alphabetically, and so you may have to either number your Blogroll entries [what I did] or use the categories to have a limited amount of control over the presentation.
Good luck!

Edit: “[…]so you will either have to individual links of equal value[…]”
Should Read: “[…]so you will either have to HAVE individual links of equal value[…]”
