Hiding tags in post header

I’ve been phasing out tags and switching to categories. However, many of my older posts still display tags in a line beginning “Filed under” (eg, http://piedtype.com/2011/11/29/ftc-slaps-facebook/ ).
That line clutters my heads and I’d like to hide it without having to delete the tags, which in time I hope to convert to categories. Suggestions? I’ve used display:none with other elements on the page, but this time it doesn’t seem to work.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s the first thing I tried and it doesn’t work. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I entered it at the very bottom of the CSS this last time and still no joy. I’m on a Mac. Checked it in both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi @windwhistle, it might be a typo or something. I copied and pasted the code @justpi gave and it hid that line of tags in the header. The CSS in this theme is a little different and has an underscore ( _ ) between post and meta rather than a dash ( – ). Could that have been the issue?
Copy and paste what @justpi gave above and paste it in at the end of your CSS and see if that doesn’t take care of it for you.

Works in my test blog too, only it also hides the date. So when you say “it doesn’t work” do you mean that or do you mean it doesn’t work at all? If it’s the former I’ll work out a better solution.

I copied and pasted and it worked this time. But yes, it hid the date too. Gotta have the date in there, so I’m removing the code.

That works. It hides the comment count that followed the date, but that isn’t essential since it appears down below where the comment section begins. Gives me a cleaner head, which I like. Thanks!
