hiding text with the more option

  This doesn’t work.
  I am following you guide, but only the text AFTER the more is showing, and no ‘read more’ option is showing.
  The wrong way round.
  I have tried all sorts of things and I can’t get it to work the right way

  Just to be clear, you won’t see that link anywhere if you’re viewing a single post, e.g. https://didsterinspired.wordpress.com/2020/09/15/my-dogs/

  That link only shows on the posts feed for your site, which for your site is set to https://didsterinspired.wordpress.com/e-books/
